Last year, Google acquired Gizmo5 (a softphone provider, similar to Skype). Recently, it acquired Global IP Systems (which I understand did the voice/video calls for at least Yahoo). And, a day or two ago, Gmail finally
enhanced it's chat UI to make voice/video calls more intuitive.
Now, it
looks like
Google's adding Google Voice VoIP right into Gmail. For the reasons above, I think it's legit, it's just a matter of
when!!!
Please, oh please, let it be soon, my cellphone reception in our apartment = basically zero!

That would be really wonderful. But I wonder why they changed the chat screen again. Time will tell I suppose.
I don't know, but I'm sure it's some form of terrorist organization or China. Heck, they infiltrate my comments section on like every other post!
