New Year's Excitement

Maybe it's just me, but I've never really been a New Year'sphile. Yes, I realize that a New Year has come and old things are made new. But what's the big deal? Doesn't this happen every year? Don't get me wrong, I'm down for wedding anniversaries, birthdays, and other miscellaneous yearly celebrations. I just don't get the huge buzz over a new year. Is it just another excuse for teeming masses to get sloshed? I hope not. Fletchword, your thoughts?

I think new-years is a watered-down Christmas Eve for adults where most people only get a hang-over in the morning as opposed to presents.

Unless you go to a nice party and get all fancied up, its not exactly the most exciting event. However Fondue can change any evening into a marathon of fun.

I can dig that. I guess my principal question is, "What's the big deal?"

I can have Fondue Fun whenever I want. Why does it necessarily have to be on New Year's Eve?
